Birthday and Valentine Day :-)

Today is Audrey's Birthday!
I surprise her yesterday (12th Feb) with a stay at the boutique hotel, The Scarlet.

The hotel is located at 33 Erskine Road, near Maxwell Market (Chinatown). Its very exquisitely decorated, all in black, red and gold.

The room is pretty small since it is "rescued" from old shophouses. It's cosy with all features of any other standard hotel room, except there is little walkway. Here is a picture of us on the nice comfy bed...

Here is the washroom/basin. Audrey simply adores the taps. I just love the whole setup. Check out all the freebies they give.. shaving kit, comb, shampoo, conditioner, mouth wash, moisturiser, body wash, sanitary bad, toothbrush, cotton buds, sewing kits, emery board and shower (think that's about it). All items from Flair.

Here is the washroom from another angle.

After our check-in, we went downstairs to "Bold", Scarlet's own bar and cafe. We had some coffee before heading out for massage at Bukit Timah. Well, its not a spa massage but its really help loosen all tight knots in our muscles. After which, we proceed to Lucky Plaza to purchase my gift. Kinda strange that I am getting a gift from Audrey on her birthday? Its actually my valentine day gift but I think its my long overdue engagement gift :p

This is my gift: a Rolex Watch!
Chosen by my wifey. Thanks babe!

Then we walked over to Takashimaya for dinner at Coffee Club. Then we went to watch Casanova at GV Grand. Its quite an entertaining show, funny at some parts. After the show, we head back to the hotel to spend some time on the comfy bed.....

Next morning, I have to wake up this sleepyhead so that I can surprise her with her birthday/valentine day cake.

Here is the birthday/valentine day cake, called "White Symphony" available at The Patissier. They do have excellent chocolate cake, highly recommended.

I wonder if she enjoyed her birthday? And what I gonna do next year..... Sigh, I guess I will stressed when next year comes around.. perhaps a watch?

Bald Dog

Wifey took the dog out for a hair cut.
Coco (the dog featured here) has gotten herself into some skin problem, either that she just got a bad habit of scratching herself until skin problem starts... sigh. So we decided to have her shaved, to remove all the bad hair (due to licking) and also better see what the situation underneath all those hair. Seems like she is not too happy with her haircut.

Here is the dog with hair.

Here is the same dog without hair, you can see the grouchy face... kinda funny tho.

Chill Out Sunday

Spent a lazy Sunday afternoon at home before me and the wife decided to drag our lazy butts out of the house and headed to town.

First stop: Funan Centre.
To collect some free lame 'ol' radio alarm clock (Given by POSB EveryDay Card) from nets Rewards centre there. Ok lar ..... not bad looking after all. Then i bought a carrier for my 350D. Satisfied, we left the building.

Second stop: Lucky Plaza ,Scotts Shopping Centre
The wife took me watch shopping. A birthday cum anniversary cum valentine's day cum christmas gift. Narrowed it down to 1 model but i wanted to see a different colour and they dun have it there. So we need to come back another day when they will bring it over to that outlet. So going back another day.

After which ...... aimless wandering around.

After a Hainanese chicken rice dinner, coffee time!

Plonk out weary asses down at McCafe @ Shaw.
