Canon 350D, REBEL!

First Day of Chinese New Year!!

Went to Holland Village and have Coffee Bean breakfast (cause the rest of the shop is closed). After a nice and long breakfast, we decided to pop by Paris Silk to look at digital SLR camera. Still tempted by the Nikon D50. When we got there, its around 10.30am and we seems to be the first customer.

After loitering in the shop for a long time, and the sales person who was very patience with us (very strange treatment, totally unexpected), we decided to get the Canon 350D. It was after long deliberation and comparison (between D50, D70s and Canon 350D) that we made the decision. The pro side of the Canon is the 8megapixel, lighter then D70, smallest frame (which I didn't really like). The downside is the camera's grip (due to the frame) and the finishing. But overall, its excellent camera, takes very nice pictures. Here are some samples:

Gostun Company Lunch (Yu Sheng Part III)

Today (3rd Feb 06) is the Gostun company's Chinese New Year lunch.
This is the third time that I would be lau-ing yu sheng. The first time was at Kam Boat Restaurant (Shaw), second time was Gim Tim Restaurant (Grassroot Club-AMK) and this time is the Prima Revolving Restaurant (Prima Tower).

This is the yu sheng that we had.
It was excellent, by far one of the better ones.
Btw, anyone notice the raw beef 'hiding' behind the yu sheng plate? Yum!

This is one of their signature dish.
Egg white, fish & scallops, then add pepper and vinegar.
Very good! :)

Pork & Bun, chinese burger?
Its nice but not fatty enough.... but where there is fats, its good.

Peking duck's roasted skin!
I got a picture of couple of ducks without its skin.. it sure doesn't look as good as this:

Prima Revolving Restaurant... of course it revolves...
Here are some pictures of the view from the restaurant.

Team Gostun Consult plus wives!

Thanks Tard & Felicia for the lunch!
