As we are also celebrating Audrey's Grandma (which she brought forward so that we can celebrate together), we split Callum's birthday celebration into 2 sessions. The first was at Zenden, Gallery Hotel. Unfortunately, Callum fell asleep before his cake cutting, so we use a brownie as make-shift cake (when he woke).

Like My Haircut?

All of us went for a haircut today, seems like William (our hair stylist) might be a little trigger happy with Callum's hair. He cut Callum's hair a little too much in front for our liking.

Callum at 9 Months Old

September 11, the day that the world remembers the attack on America's Twin Towers. It has been 6 years since then. However, for us, its also Audrey's brother birthday. And we are invited for this birthday dinner (just family) at Prego. Dinner includes seafood salad, buffalo mozzarella, calamari, pizza, pasta, soup, freshly baked bread and creme brulee. Food was great but somehow it seems to be a pale shade of what they used to serve.

For anyone who wish to spend their birthday there, please call them in advance and they will prepare a complimentry cake. Do not bring your own, they won't let you eat it there!!

More Teeth Coming!

Callum has been behaving quite edgy for the last few days and we were suspecting that he might be teething. Lo and Behold! We are able to see his top tooth coming. Strangely, we can only see 1 tooth. (Click on picture to see enlarged version) Hopefully the other tooth on the top will come out soon, if not, it would be so strange to have only one upper tooth...

Callum at Month 8

Callum has turned 8 months old! He hasn't grow his upper 2 teeth yet but he has learned to pull himself up to a standing position by holding on to something. Once he is up, he doesn't know how to get down! So he will just stand there and start smiling or laughing happily until he fall backwards which leads to loud wailing.

Weather has been cold lately as the rain continues to pour. Callum got the chance to wear an overall which surprisingly, I think he looks very cute in it. Think so?

Callum's Passport

Got an email today from ICA telling me that Callum passport is ready for collection, but have to collect with the passport with Callum in person. So with Callum in tow, we headed to ICA building at Lavender.

I alway detest coming to this place as the parking is totally crap! I have to circle around the carpark and finally settle down to wait at one spot. After a period of waiting, I finally able to get a lot. Put a parking coupon and off I went to collect his passport.

Collected his passport after 30 mins wait, there were 35 people in front of us, so its not too bad. Callum got the latest passport with BioPass, wonder what the heck does that do.... anyway, here is an image of his passport.

Callum First Tooth

Callum is teething!
No wonder he is so grouchy these days. We discovered it last Friday but only managed to get a picture of it today. He was crying to be fed, so I thought it will be a perfect time to take picture of his tiny teeth.

After drinking his milk, he is all happy and acting cute!

Hot Baby!

Poor boy developed a fever last night. Put him in bed but he doesn't seem to sleep well... keeps having suddenly jolts and starts crying. After a couple of sudden cries, we realised that his body was pretty warm... and I took his temperature, it's at a high of 39.5 degree Celsius!! We got a shock and quickly pasted a cooling pad on his head. We also tried giving his water which he rejects... I even drove out to get glucose but he still refuses to drink. But for a kid who was having fever, he sure seemed happy.

Early next morning, we took him to see his regular doctor but it seems like his fever has gone down to under 38. Nonetheless, we think it's better to get it checked out. Turns out that its nothing serious, but we have to monitor him for the next 4 days for any signs of rashes which means it could be dengue... *shudders* *cross fingers*

Callum First Solid Food

This is our first real attempt of feeding Callum Solid food. Here is Callum sitting in his high chair for the first time. He seems quite happy with his chair.

Callum First Attempt at Solid

Callum turns 6 months old today!
Yay! Its time that he can try solid food.

Obviously, I am not very good with this baby toothie thing. We went to Great World City and got him some Bellamy's Organic Toothiepegs from Four Season Market. As he is starting to put things into his mouth to chew, we thought can give him some food to chew on....

I thought that these toothiepegs would be soft or at least slowly dissolve, but how wrong I was. These things are hard!!! It took us some effort to bite it off... so obviously, toothless Callum won't be able to break it at all, but he seems to like it though. Here is a video of him chewing on those pegs.

Self Service

Our little boy is learning how to hold his own bottle. On 3rd May, while Audrey was feeding him, he decided that he wants to hold his own food. However, his hands don't seem to be able to grasp the bottle properly.

So we decided to help him a little and we got him a holding aid. It's a plastic handle attached to the bottle so that he can hold better.















I guess he needs to learn how to tilt the bottle at the right angle so that he can drink better...

Callum First Taste of Medicine

Poor Callum is sick.

He caught some germs over the weekend (I think) and he is now down with running nose and cough. He gave us a good scare last night when he suddenly "choke" in the middle of the night. Poor mommy have to dash out of bed to make sure he is ok.

We went to see the doctor today and he was prescribed with some medicine for his nose, phelghem and cough. Poor kid.

A Very Cute Moose

We spotted a new shop at Great World City, from far we thought it was a children toy shop, but upon closer inspection, it turns out to be a party shop. Located on the third floor of Great World City, beside My Little Gym, they seems well stocked with various party stuff for children. As we are walking around, we found this antlers for Christmas (strange, its only April!), we just got try it on Callum and he turns out to be so cute....
